You probably wont ever work in the medical field again.

That will depend on where you live. If you have to have a license you need to check with them. You will probably be put on some type of probation. Check with your state and find out the rules.

If the CNAs in your area have a professional society or other organization for support, you can contact them and tell them your story. Like Greg mentioned, they could put you on probation while you demonstrate that you have learned from your past mistakes and will work professionally from now on. Of course that depends on your legal situation as well, but it’s worth pursuing all your options, so you know you just didn’t give up.
You are not the first health care worker to get in trouble for drug abuse and will not be the last. Continue to seek help and move forward.

why oh why oh why. messing with narcotics is a serious offense. you werent even a nurse yet a cna at that and you got caught using narcotics. and im pretty sure you probably got the nurse in trouble too. cause there is no way a cna should have access to narcotics so how the hell did you get a hold of it, lets blame the nurse. point blank i dont feel sorry for you. people dont realize what a good thing they have until its gone.
first you have to find out what happened to your cna certificate. cause if it was revoked theres no coming back to nursing. if it was suspended there is a possibility. you have to contact the state to find out and show them that you have gone to rehab and learned from your mistake, which i hope you did
