Cna Certificate And Being Fired….?
As I said in other post I was working there for 4yrs and up until April I wasn’t a CNA.. I was hired without certificate because I was certified at one time.. After 3 yrs I was told to get re-certified to keep my job so I spent the $700+ and took the training and passed all testing and got legally certified as a CNA in April 2006…was fired in Sept 2006. Now because I was fired does this get noted @ nurse aide registry or is it just like being fired any place else…stealing medications or physically abusing someone would cause an investigation through the state and a judgement to be made. Seperation reasons were listed as :failure to work as team player failure to finish work failure to treat residents w/respect,dignity & safely. None of these accusations are true…I can give potential new jobs resident and co-workers as references from job I was fired from which I plan to do. How hard will it be to get new job? Can I just check don’t contact & tell them to contact residents&staff?

Tell them you chose to leave (which you did do–it’s just that you decided after you were fired). Hire an equal opportunity lawyer and have him issue a letter to your previous employer advising them to refer all inquiries to the personnel office and to only state dates of employment, and to not even say how or why you left, since it is personal acrimony and not anything real or serious. Make sure he notes that you will sue if any smear to your name takes place.
Now, you go out there and get the best job ever, and forget all about those nasty people creating nursing wars for no good reason.
