CNA is not a nurse–they are a nursing assistant. This is a brief training program. They do basic activities or care: turning, walking, feedsing, toileting, vitals –things like that,
The first licensed level of nursing is the LPN/LVN. This is usally about a year at a vocational school. They can do many things but not higher levels skills such as triage, push certain meds, be in charge etc.
The final licensed nurse is the RN. They can do everything granted to them by the nurse practice act & their additional training. This is either a 2 year associates degree or a 4 year bachelors degree.

A CNA is a Certified Nurse Assistant not a nurse. LPN/LVN’s are nurses that are trained in how to do stuff not why whereas an RN is trained how and why. RN’s have more schooling than LPN/LVN’s and they get paid more.
