Do Lpn’s (license Practical Nurses) Get Stuck With Doing All The Grunt Work?

By CNAGuide

Do lpn’s job mostly consist of cleaning up feces, urine and vomit? I know that these things are done by the CNA, but are these duties mostly the lpn’s job responsibilities as well?

Yes but so do the RNs. Hospital budgets are tight. So usually there is 1 nurse on duty per shift, either a RN or LPN plus some aides.

Yes, like the above person said though, the RN gets the crappy jobs too. Either way though, I believe RN’s can tell an LPN what to do so I’m sure the LPN gets all the crappy jobs.

Being an RN doesn’t exempt you from doing those jobs either.
