Often times you can go to your local state run unemployment office for tuition and book help. Most if not all states have money to train people into the work force. Also check your financial aid office at your local community colleges. You can sign up for about 40 or 50 dollars in most states and then quality for pell grants to cover the tuition and books. And after you finish your courses, before you shell out a couple hundred dollars to take the state test I would first buy an online test like the ones at myexam.info where they have hundreds and hundreds of valid state exam questions.
