Hospital Help To Become An Rn?

By CNAGuide

Hi. I’m 20 in college and work as a CNA.
I have all of my gen eds out of the way (and should finish with the bio gen eds by next semester).
The original plan was to go to Med school but I just can’t see myself being a full time student six more years. So I’m trying to look into Nursing and slowly work my way up.
I plan on talking to my school about this and have gotten a pretty good idea on the steps to do so to. But is there any hospitals, peace corps, or other programs that can help pay for the programs? I know I’ve heard of hospitals paying for stuff like that if you agree to work for them for so long. Any advice would be very helpful.

In addition to signing up for financial aid through the school, contact local hospitals HR departments and ask about their benefits and if they include tuition reimbursement plans, specifically tell them you’re a CNA looking to being a RN. See what they say. Then start applying for jobs at the places where they have the best plan.

    Yes, all of the above.
However, there are also government grants, such as Pell Grants, that will pay for your school that you don’t have to pay back.
My suggestion would be to talk to the financial aid office at your school, they can tell you before you even sign up for classes, what kind of financial aid you will qualify for.
