How To Write A Song About My Feelings?
Hi guys, for music class we have to write our own song. I’ve never ever written a song before, i’ve attempted.. but it was really really awful lmao! I want to write it about kind of all my pent up sadness & anger, and how i keep everything in & show myself as a happy person at school, and when i get home i breakdown crying most nights. (My mum was a self harmer & would go missing for days on end & she’d slit her wrists & overdose & whatnot, about a month ago she jumped infront of a train and killed herself && I’ve also just recently had a huge heartbreak from a ******** of a lad) I just want it to be about like, there is all that stuff going on, but im going to keep going and make my way out of this rut and oneday im going to be living the dream 
So can anyone give me any advice on how to write it please? & any ideas on what i cna put in it? 
Make notes about what you want your song to say and be sure to give it a great title that gives the listener the message of what your song is about. Maybe something like Living On The Edge.
A song that expresses what you feel is a good song, even if no one else thinks so. A song that expresses your thoughts and feelings in a way that reaches other people, helps them feel something deeper or understand something better – that’s a really good song! Good Luck to you
I write songs so it comes naturally for me because I have a music background. My great grandma was big into that stuff so I guess I inherit it(: but what you do is Justyn basically write down your feelings it doesn’t have to rhyme but it does have to make since and all of that good jazz. Write a verse 1 with 4 lines (it can be more) put a chorus on write verse 2 repeat or make a new chorus write a hook or bridge then put a chorus on that one (: good luck. Hope I helped.
