Is It Best To Become A Cna Before Becoming A Radiologic Technoloigist?

By CNAGuide

I want to become a radiologic technologist and i was wondering is it better to work as a cna first before getting into this field? I thought working first as a cna would help me get my foot in the door to getting into the rad tech program and it would be much more easier for me to find employment as a rad tech once i am finished with the program. The reason why i think this is because both occupations deal with lifting patients and most rad tech programs want students who have prior experience working with patients.

  1. Get in line

It wouldn’t hurt, but it’s not necessary. Rad tech school teaches you everything you need to know…including patient transport. Also, there’s a big demand for rad techs, so you won’t have a problem finding work.
