Obviously you can go to school for whatever job you choose. Before you go to school to be a CNA though I think you should know they really don’t make good money. It will be hard to take care of yourself with the kind of money you would make as a CNA. You might want to consider some other options in the medical field for ex. Ultrasound technician ( I was an OB Ultrasound Tech) I enjoyed it. X-ray tech, Medical transcriptionist, RN registered nurse. There are a lot of different options in the medical field before you start really look into it. You don’t want to spend all that money and time to realize you could make the same working at Walmart. I know how much they make because, when I was doing Ultrasound a lot of them would tell me what they made and the money just really wasn’t good. I felt sorry for them because, they do work hard like everyone else. I really think what they make is unfair. Anyway make sure what the average is in the field you go into. Also find out how long it will take. Also make sure the school you go to has a good reputation because, if they don’t it can make it hard to get a job. Also when you are in the medical field with some of the job you have to take a test to get certified which, that is good your pay goes up after you are certified. Make sure to ask if at the end the school you are going to prepares you for your certification test. Not all schools do and it is really important. All doctors want you to get certified. Good luck sweety. You are in the exact same position I was in 14 years ago. If you ever need help or just advice from someone who has been in your shoes you can email me.
