Looking For A Career Working With Infants/maternity. What Kind Of Degree Do I Need?

I am currently a CNA and have been debating whether to get my LPN or RN certification. I really want a career in a hospital setting working with infants. Does anyone know what steps I need to take to get a job in this field? Thanks!

Apply at a community college or 4 year school for your degree in nursing. Graduate
Take and pass state boards.
Apply for a job in the field you are interested in.
