Navy Questions. Any Recruiters?
I am wanting to join the navy. I have wanted to for a while.
I love being on the water, and think i would be very good in the nursing field. ( i now work as a cna)
Only problems are:
My license are revoked
I have had quite a few misdemeanors but no felonies
14 misd. including ones when i was a minor
I owe the court 50$ a month till my fines are paid (around 600$)
This will get me rejected wont it?

The Navy will not touch you until all legal and financial obligations with the courts are taken care of. Because when they run your prc’s (police record checks) they have to come back clean meaning that nothing can come up. If you are currently on a payment plan with the courts, that will come up when the recruiter runs your prc.
Probably not as long as you can take care of that 600 dollars. Somebody else will probably give you a more direct answer but i’ll probably get best answer when i work my magic.
My husband is in the navy.
I think that if you paid your fines and such, you might possibly be able to get in, but you should really discuss that with a recruiter because trust me they really will push to get you in!!
One problem that might arise is that there is a surplus of people in the navy, and they are pretty much giving people good discharges to get them out.
So Im not sure if they would be willing to take you, who has a lot of past trouble when they have already too many people in the navy.
But as far as the license that shouldn’t really matter because my husband is constantly driving people around because half of the kids doesn’t have cars…so why would they need a license? lol
It might limit your ability for some jobs, and also having misdemeanors you probably wouldn’t be able to make clearence, so dont plan on chosing any jobs that require secret clearence. (Ex: Guarding planes, intelligence..) But nursing should be fine!
Good luck
you have waaayyy to many misdemeanors. you will never be permitted to enlist in any Branch even if they do ever start granting moral waivers again.
not even paying the fines will help. the Navy will not accept anyone who has more than 2 misdemeanors.
