Rop Nursing Programs In Southern California?

By CNAGuide

So my friend’s mom (who has been a nurse for quite some time) told my friend (who I am going to be going to nursing training with) about these ROP nursing programs in Anaheim and El Monte, where you start as a CNA then do that training for like 4 months then move up to LVN and then RNA then get a job, and the training consists of both in-class work and actually going to hospitals and helping out. Does anyone know what these programs or know of any programs like this in southern California?
Thanks so much

Been on ROP. The instructors are really great. I started on taking Medical Terminology first, then I took the CNA. And yes it is about 4 to 5 months. I spent the first half of the month in class, lectures, worked on puzzles, written and oral quizzes, hands on of the materials and such. And we have to pass the in-class work and get a grade of B to go to the clinical.
The first days of the clinical we went shadowing the CNA’s on the facility :) And then our instructor started giving us 1 patient, then 2, and adding more as we get used to it. Then we prepared for the CNA license exam which consist of written exam and hands on. Those who didn’t pass the written exam didn’t went through the hands on exam.
I knew people take CNA first, then start working as CNA while taking their LVN’s going to RN to get the experience of each stage. If you’re thinking about going to an ROP, search for their website and find if there’s any location nearest you. It could be a smart thing to do since you only pay for your books.

San Diego State University’s Nursing Programs s one of great programs. In addition to the more traditional bachelor’s and master’s degree programs in nursing the school also offers several specialized certification programs that enable a student to enter the workforce at a lower level (LPN for instance) to gain crucial work experience while still continuing to study for the higher qualifications that will further advance their career (and their earnings.)
