Someone Asked Me To Mentor Their Child. They Want To Pay Me Using The Insurance Company. Do I Need A License?

By CNAGuide

Basically a friend of mines mother asked if I could mentor her son. She wants to talk to her insurance company and see if they can pay me to do that using the insurance. Basically the insurance company would be paying me to mentor her son. Do I need any kind of license for that? Its not homecare or CNA work and I wouldnt be working for a company. Its more like a favor but they want to pay me.

Insurance doesn’t pay for “mentors”, so it’s a moot point.

The insurance won’t pay a dime, unless you are licensed in a medical field, there is a reason for you to be providing care, and there has to be a medical reason for such care being necessary/
