What Do I Wear To A Job Interview?

By CNAGuide

I’m going to be interviewing for a CNA position. I tend to overdress for certain events, but don’t want to underdress either. I remember at a “career fair” once to step up what you would be wearing to work. As a CNA I will be wearing scrubs. Should I wear scrubs just to play it safe. I don’t know what to wear.

dress professionally–a suit’s not necessary, but a blouse and a pair of dress pants or a skirt.

You should still dress professionally for an interview. A nice pair of dress slacks, blouse and jacket would be good. Also remember – never wear cologne or perfume to an interview!
    Best of luck to you!

Don’t wear scrubs, just a nice casual outfit. Like a nice skirt and shirt.

If the interviewer is a man, don’t wear anything, just go naked. I’m sure you will get the job.

No, they see enough scrubs. wear something respectful, not too sexy, but clean .

You wear business casual dress. Scrubs would be considered a uniform. If you show up to the interview in scrubs that would be a faux pas unless you are coming straight from your old CNA job to the interview.

its always better to be a little over dressed than underdressed…
and i know this sounds like a stupid little detail, but get a manicure with clear or light pink polish it is a great finishing touch.

I would not wear scrubs. I would wear long dark trousers and a nice button down shirt. You want to look like you really want the job. I wouldn’t wear anything with glitter sparkles or with glitz. Just a straight up pair of black dress pants and a solid color button shirt. I would not wear anything open toe…no sandals. Basically look professional and understated is best. That is what I look for when I hire people. If you look like you care about yourself you’ll probably care about the job.

Whatever you decide to wear, make sure you feel comfortable in it. Relaxed blouse and skirt or slacks. The occasion is tense enough without tugging at your cloths.

wear something your comfortable in….to a job interview…something professional but also u….u need to be as relaxed and not to try to impress because in your mind u got the job already…confidence and appearence.
it takes skills to get to the top……but it takes character to stay

I wouldn’t wear scrubs, even though that would be your attire. For example, I work at a chemical plant where we wear nomex safety uniforms. When I interviewed however, I wore a nice set of dress pants, shirt, and tie.
Your always safe if you wear business casual or business formal. You want something that makes you look smart and presentable without going overboard. A pair of business slacks (or skirt at the knees) and a nice blouse with or without a blazer. Don’t wear high heels. You’ll most likely get a tour of some sort, and you want to be able to walk around without issue, so wear low heeled dress shoes. Most likely you will be over-dressed compared to your interviewer, but THAT’S OK!! By dressing up, it shows that your professional and that you taking this job seriously. Your placing your best foot forward.
Good Luck!! If you need any other help, just PM!
