What Shifts Should I Work As A Cna?
I am returning to CNA work for the summer and want to work 40 or 32 hours a week but am not sure what shifts to work. Any suggestions?

I work in the medical field.Night shift is the hardest due to your biological clock.Depending on the shifts, the hours might be 12hours or 71/2 every day.PM shift is the quietest and the day shift is the busiest.Allot of baths, showers, vital to be taken etc.Doctors are around asking questions, tests to be done etc.You need comfortable shoes so pick some good ones, not cheap canvas ones, you are on your feet allot.Plus 9 times out of 10 they get wet in the shower. If you work in a hospital like I do, it is constant running.I have worked in nursing homes, very physically hard work..humbles one very quickly.I worked in the mental health field as well, very hard on your mental health. All in all the experiences are invaluable. There is also home care, very rewarding as well.you have picked an excellent field, never without work..good luck and stay in touch.
It’s really which ever you prefer, and where you work. I love working the night shift, it’s quieter, and I usually get more time to spend with patients. Day shift is so busy and hectic, I usually can’t devote the time needed to the patients. Plus, day shift people suck (hehe.) I prefer to work evening or nights, not only for the increase in hourly salary, but for the extra time with patients.
