Which Is Easier Nursing Home Or Home Care?
I want to know which is less stressful. Either nursing home or home care. Im getting my cna license soon. I heard nursing homes you have to life people and do dirty work. But in homecare it’s not that fast pace. My main goal is to become a nurse. But i don’t like doing dirty work. I like the office work. Im in college taking my prerequisites for nursing. I wish i was working as a medical assistant. While going to school.

If you do not like doing “dirty work,” do not become a CNA. Stresses in home care v. nursing homes v hospitals can be different, but all are stressful one way or another. All involve personal care, cleaning up messes, etc. ALL jobs in the medical/health care field involve a great deal of stresses of various kinds. Anyone who cannot or will not handle stress should stay out of health care entirely.
Hospital/nursing home you might have another CNA to team up with for heavy lifting, etc. Home care, you do it all. Hospitals/nursing homes may be more stable jobs. Home care job can end overnight. Home care stress depends on personality of person you care for, family arrangements, more. Some people try to keep someone home because there is no way they can afford a nursing home, and cannot really afford you either.
Sounds like you already know you have taken the wrong route.
Just depends on what you can tolerate. Either way not all old people are nice. Some are perverts, anger issues, and some can just talk your ears off lol. And no matter what you’ll be doing their dirty work. Like wiping their *** to putting a straw in their mouth so they can drink. Less driving in a nursing home and its less awkward.
