Would I Qualify For Assistance From The Workforce Investment Act? (in Ri)?

By CNAGuide

I am 21 years old & I’ve never had a job. I am completely broke and I want to train to be a CNA. I’ve researched the WIA page and it seems you can only qualify for financial assistance if you have been employed in the past. Has anyone been through this process before? Are there any exceptions to those rules?

  1. just not that

The only way to know for sure is to go through all their paperwork and orientation program and apply. But honestly, a CNA license is a piddley 2 week course costing a couple of hundred dollars (if that). You’d be better off and have it done quicker if you just paid for it yourself. You’d be done with your CNA class by the time you jump through all the WIA hoops.
